The Colors of Fall

The Colors of Fall

By Julia R. Reece

Green, Yellow, Red, Orange, Brown - the colors of Fall. All these and more can be found throughout the months of September and October in Michigan. Some of the most beautiful examples of God's handiwork can be seen as the trees and foliage change from their summer wardrobe of greens to their fall robes of color. No longer will they all look alike - some will be blazing red while others will be shimmering yellow. You might see some deep greens next to some gorgeous oranges.

Don't get me wrong - I love Summer. But I love the natural picturesque landscaping you get to see in the Fall. I've been to other states, and there is something about the coolness of the nights that seems to bring out a richness of the colors in Michigan that I haven't seen elsewhere. Maybe it exists other places, but I have yet to experience anything better.

With the high cost of fuel, why not visit somewhere close? If you are in the northern Midwest, Michigan is only a couple of hours away. If you are in Michigan, you really have no excuse to visit parts of your state that you may not have visited before.

Get ready to see some of the most stunning landscapes that mankind will never paint.
